Getting Your Finances Together

There are many programs to handle your personal finances. Two that come to mind are Quicken and Microsoft Money. The information in these programs resides securely in your computer.

But what if you are away from your computer and want information instantly? There are web sites like Geezeo.com, Mint.com, or Wesabe.com that aggregate all your financial information. They take your information from online financial service companies and then send it to your cell phone or PDA on demand. Instant information is the latest advance in online money management.

Give them a try and see if it helps organize your finances.

I use mint.com and it’s an excellent money manager. It shows what’s coming in and out of your checking, savings, and investment accounts (401k, IRAs, etc.). Best of all, it’s free! I highly recommend it.
